I have the 525E. Front USB ports with multiple USB 3.0 and 10 Gps Type-C ports, at least one pair of external 5.25 drive bays for DVD drives and mobile docking stations for legacy hard drives and 2.5" SSDs SATA3 ). Standard PCs are currently mostly small. factor type inconvenient to maintain or update or player type. Most PC cases are now designed for gamers, with 70-95% of the front and top of the PC case reserved for case fans. I'm not a gamer, just a few case fan slots will do. For these reasons I decided to use my old PC case for my new 11th Gen Intel processor and PCIe 4.0 ATX motherboard assembly on the floor under the table , it is very inconvenient to crawl USB devices under the table on the back, while the PC case only has a couple of USB 2.0 ports on the front. This Multi Function Media Dashboard EOOCVT 5.25 inch (525E) is good for my purpose. Little did I know that just one USB 2.0 header and one USB 3.0 header on the motherboard would allow for 8 new front panel USB ports with card readers enabled. I'm hoping in the future the manufacturer will come up with something that can provide a Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps) port or a front USB 4 port, as I still have an unused Thunderbolt 4 port on the motherboard. ASUS Thunderbolt 4 Dock only provides output ports on the back of the PC. Another big plus is the Molex power connector, and the front SATA connector allows me to use a 2.5" SATA3 SSD externally with a Molex power connector to a SATA female connector and a data cable. This has saved me from needing another portable SSD dock as I often switch Linux distros from SSD to SSD. Just the cost of the cables that come with this panel makes it worth the price. One strange thing is that there is always a G: drive showing up under This PC in Windows 10. If no USB devices are connected to the PC, this G: drive will still show up (grayed out and inaccessible). When I put an SD card into a memory card reader, this G: drive is active and the icon turns bright, I can then access the contents of the ts SD card. Once the SD card is removed, the G: drive icon remains but is discarded. It took me a bit to get used to it. Now I'm just looking at this drive G: reserved for this panel panel. No big deal! I love this product! (Edited June 28th 2021) I don't understand why some people expect a PCIe device here? Which PCIe device? The descriptions here say that you don't need a PCIe device as long as your motherboard is a PCIe motherboard. These are easy. Some people have a prejudice against Chinese products because they think they might be inferior. That may have been the case two or three decades ago. I think it was a transitional period for national technological progress. This happened with Japanese products in the 60's and 70's, Taiwanese and South Korean products in the 80's of the last century. On the contrary, the Chinese product for me is synonymous with a decent, working and inexpensive product. I know the price I paid so I'm not expecting the highest quality materials and the best features and performance. However, the Asus PCIe 4.0 motherboard I used to build my new PC with an 11th gen Intel processor is another example of the only product on the market from China that meets all my needs. Regarding this dashboard, it's true that the audio cable can be a bit too short for some people. To test this I tried using this audio cable for my ATX PC case. Because I installed this dash in the top external drive bay (of the four available) and the audio jack is in the diagonal corner, the cable is actually an inch shorter. If I moved the dash to a lower bay, this problem would go away. I just didn't do it because I used an ATX tower front panel audio cable. Why postpone? For those with a short audio cable problem, you can get an audio jack extension cable (but that can cost a few bucks, of course). By the way, my current ATX case for a newly built PC is fifteen years old. Enermax Pandora 815, also from China. When I bought it, there was no USB Type-C port.
