Chain guide really works

This is my third bike with a chain guide. I know there are a bit cheaper out there but chances are you get what you pay for. The plastic of this model is very hard, your chain is unlikely to eat it. My last bike had an out of round down tube and it was difficult to keep the chain guide secure. I would not recommend this product for this type of bike tube. But for a round tube, if you order the right size (measure bottom tube diameter before ordering), it's one of the best purchases you can make. I have Campagnolo shifters that allow me to shift down both the front crank sprocket and multiple gears at once on the rear cassette. During this action I invariably lost the chain from the front crank sprocket. This will NEVER happen with the chain guide installed. Set it up about 1/8 inch from the chain so they don't rub against each other. And then forget it. It will always get the job done and save you countless times getting off the bike and reinstalling the chain. Enjoy.
