Review on Marineland Polishing Internal Canister ML90770 by Jennifer Martin

I just received the magnum polishing internal filter. I've always had clean water, but I remember back in the 70's when I had a diatomaceous earth filter and it made the water crystal clear. I love the versatility of this filter. As an emergency backup filter, filter for charcoal and/or other resins as needed, and especially micron + diatomaceous earth polishing function. Now I thought I screwed it up after I got it because I also ordered diatomaceous earth which was food grade and not filter grade. However, I tried it last night and it worked wonderfully. Polishes water by removing particles too small to see, leaving water as clear as glass. So for now I'm very happy with the factory performance, the overall potential and the great price. I noticed that the filter regularly releases microbubbles. The filter was completely submerged in water and the aerator plug was firmly in place, so I'm not sure how these bubbles form. Does the impeller affect water with high oxygen content? I look forward to using the weekly water change and tank/filter service when things wiggle a little - a few hours of buffing adds that extra shine!
