Review on Sensorex PHAMP 1 Stainless Battery Powered Pre Amplifier by Willie Midkiff

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The pH probe booster works great but be careful with the date

expired. Each of these amplifiers is dated, e.g. B. "DATE: 4713", which in this case indicates that the product was manufactured in the 47th week of 2013. This amplifier contains non-replaceable batteries for three years. The product didn't work for me and it was over three years old. After contacting the manufacturer, I was offered to replace it with Revain, which I did. However, the replacement had the same expiration date. I ended up getting a new replacement shipped directly from the manufacturer (Sensorex) which works great. Revain shares may or may not be stale. And after consulting the manufacturer's representative, they will replace the faulty or non-working device if it is within the warranty period. but they asked for a manufacture date stamped on my amp. So even if an item works well, if it fails within the first year but has an older manufacturing date, you may not be able to get a replacement. So please check the date you receive it and replace it if it is not the latest date. Any concerns about obsolescence aside, this is a disposable device as the batteries are sealed inside and cannot be replaced (unless you cut the battery open). the metal case is open I think). While this works well and is easy to install, I will be buying it with spare batteries or an AC adapter in the future.
