Application took some practice but end results are much better. The colors will vary slightly from the color of the cap so I recommend testing in an inconspicuous area as they will appear darker on bare wood. If you have a deep scratch, fill it in with a pencil first. Another tip: work in small strokes, wiping them down with a lint-free cloth as you go. I used an old lens cleaning cloth. The only downside for me was that I needed a more yellowish tone to match some of the older chairs, the colors were warmer, more reddish.
