So I've finally moved into my apartment and now it's time to fix all the little nicks and scratches on my furniture. These markers work very well. If you retreat, you cannot see Nick. It means a lot to me. The image on the arm of my sofa looked like it had been stuffed into an uhaul and rubbed down with white paint. These markers really worked! I gave these markers three stars because one of the markers was useless, it was bone dry, and it was the color I wanted.

The packaging says Maple is the lightest, but I found it to be too warm and have had better results with Oak for my lightest wood. We highly recommend using something like a Clorox cloth to remove excess paint, not just water. It stays very dark so I left it on for a second and then erased most of it leaving a very light spot. Does a decent job of putting color in the scratch so it's not that obvious. Wax sticks are a joke. They do not do anything.

Application took some practice but end results are much better. The colors will vary slightly from the color of the cap so I recommend testing in an inconspicuous area as they will appear darker on bare wood. If you have a deep scratch, fill it in with a pencil first. Another tip: work in small strokes, wiping them down with a lint-free cloth as you go. I used an old lens cleaning cloth.
