I ordered this clutch to replace the old one. So I cut the old one off and welded the new one on. The latch would not close after the first use. They changed it for free but I still had to cut this one off and weld another one on. I tried this sleeve on a ball before welding it. Normally open, closed and locked. After I welded the second one on and put the weight of the trailer on it, the latch wouldn't close. Jacking up the trailer and removing some weight allowed me to close the latch, but with difficulty. (16ft cargo trailer empty - certified welder 40+.)
