Works great! I use this mount for my Pixel XL phone with the Caseology Parallax case and have had no issues with the phone falling off the mount even when driving on rough roads. I simply inserted a thin metal plate between the phone and the case and everything worked like clockwork. It holds the phone securely in place without bouncing around like flexible gooseneck mounts do. What I really like is that I can still use the Pixel's rear fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone while it's on the stand. My wife was jealous so we bought a second one to put in the car and she loved it too.
