I give this filter 5 stars mainly because of the ease of assembly, which really has nothing to do with this air filter but with the car itself. I don't have a test bench to see if I have 1 or 2 hp more but I put the Stg1 on my GTI the same day I installed it. Was it the air filter that gave me another 100hp or the Stage 1 setup? Haha. I'll go with the latter, but I'm sure adding more airflow to the turbo helps to complement the tune. At least that's the #1 recommendation for an air cleaner, aside from the fact that this car requires a cold air intake. Like I said, buy it.
