I use them on all my cars but I've never noticed such improved throttle response as on my 2017 VW GTI SE! The factory pleated paper filter is approximately 4 inches thick, twice the thickness of K&N. Throttle response is noticeably improved, and you can actually hear the turbo running a little louder than factory. The fact that it can be washed and reused is just an added bonus. I give this filter 5 stars mainly because of the ease of assembly, which really has nothing to do with this air filter but with the car itself. I don't have a test bench to see if I have 1 or 2 hp more but I put the Stg1 on my GTI the same day I installed it. Was it the air filter that gave me another 100hp or the Stage 1 setup? Haha. Pretty annoyed with K&N on this issue. I like to buy reusable filters for every car, it saves me money in the long run and overall I'm very happy with K&N.
