Pretty annoyed with K&N on this issue. I like to buy reusable filters for every car, it saves me money in the long run and overall I'm very happy with K&N. Unfortunately, I believe this document went through the QA department on Friday afternoon. There were excess silicone drips on one side on the inlet side of the filter, small loose strands of fiber all around, silicone drain on 2 pleats, a dent in one of the pleat cages and poor molding marks everywhere, silicone edging as well as the part where the end of the pleats were not closed properly . I know some of these parts don't pose much of a problem, but it's definitely not the quality you'd expect from a $55 name brand air filter. I also note that the shipping box and box containing the filter were undamaged. Next time I'll buy a fake at half price.
