The product was received on time although, like others, the real stone fell off the plastic part. Luckily for me, a little bit of contact cement keeps it firmly in place. It's something that shouldn't have happened, but it happened and I didn't want to bring it back. What other users claim isn't as sharp as the S1000 stone is because they still have a thin burr and wire edge which can be sharp initially, but once bent it's no longer sharp. This stone removes the wire edge and polishes better than the s1000 stone, but that's not all. You must spar the knife if you want the smoothest edge, a razor-worthy edge. This is a worthwhile gem if you have the Lansky system.
