Maybe 30 feet is too much? Of course not! says Luke, our fearless beagle. After all, you have thumbs, right? Deal with it! Well, we're just going to learn how to use it. :) Since Luka is fearless he is not allowed to go off leash in unfenced areas so we bought this extreme leash to make him feel like he is off leash. We haven't tested it extensively yet. That's a lot of leash. But it's lightweight and fairly easy to manage in a few loose, semi-tidy loops. We thought we'd try it on a hike yesterday, but no, it's not the right app. It's very difficult to put it back together quickly and catch the beagle when we meet people along the way, even if we were only 6 or 8 feet tall. We will be using a regular 4 or 6 foot leash when hiking, should have thought about it! But the reason we bought this leash is because we will be with my mom. She has a huge yard that's fenced off for cattle, not dogs. Our other dog is a Shepherd mix, much less fearless and with a wonderful memory that will stay in our memories forever. Lela is a dream off leash so we don't worry about her at all in my mother's garden. This leash will give her brother Luke at least some of the freedom she has as we walk her around the yard without having to pick Luke up from a neighboring house four blocks away. We are happy and so is Lukas.
