Review on Nobrandname SM5869 STRUT BEARING INSULATOR by Ognjen Cao

I have been using KYB products since 1995 and have fitted them to all my vehicles. Since I needed new top mounts, I didn't hesitate and ordered a KYB. Unfortunately I was not able to service my vehicle before the 30 day return period was up and this was the start of more problems. Shortly after dropping the car off at the shop they called me and said one of the parts was damaged right out of the box but the other looked normal. I told him to go ahead and bet a good one. NOTE: Prior to this repair I installed a Ford strut mount but wanted 2 KYB. After installing the left side I did a road test with the car and after a few miles there was a loud cracking noise from the front left and upon inspection it was found that the left side was broken. My wife was supposed to be off work the next day, and I drove my pickup to the nearest Ford dealership; 60km round trip. The factory part was fitted and the car runs smooth and drives well again. Incidentally, I had installed KYB dampers at the same time, which ensured the smooth running that I was used to from the KYB.
