I was satisfied with this kettle after buying it in September 2020. It's cute, heats up quickly and I've spoiled it with a hand wash, never submerged it in water and descaled it at least once a month. I unplugged and kept it after each use. Whether I used tap water, a filtered fridge, spring water, or distilled water, after a few uses it left limescale behind. I've used all the homemade and safe cleaners available except for harsh chemicals like CLR and there was always limescale. But that wasn't the deciding factor for me. By April 2021, just 7 months after purchase, it suddenly just wouldn't turn on. No water damage, no light, no matter which socket. Nada. And I'm just outside the returns window, and while it's listed as a warranty (which is why I bought it), there's no way to contact the seller for assistance. So I think I'm stuck and I'll buy another model to replace it.
