Review on Black Ceramic Kati Cup by Tea Forte - Innovative 🍵 Tea Infuser Cup with Basket and Lid for Brewing Loose Leaf Tea by John Mejia

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Convenient to have, just a few small problems

Well, this is a super practical glass. When choosing this glass, I also recommend that you consider the following: Tealyra - PressART TEAKANNE - 30 oz - Borosilicate glass teapot - with integrated removable infuser - Designed in Germany - Easy to use - Best tea set in one for loose teas - 900ml If Tea Forte your .strong.strength is; then it is made for you. The strainer is pretty high quality for all purposes and can easily be used for other loose teas besides Tea Forte products (which you should be doing anyway). I often use this mug to brew other loose teas when I need a quick option at work. The design on the glass is beautiful and not cheap; and it's amazingly affordable for a Tea Forte product. Reasons -2 stars: - Even when brewing green teas or teas that require lower temperatures; The jar will be very hot to handle, to the point where you "need" to cool it down a bit before you can pick it up and move it without heated gloves. This is especially true for oolongs, blacks, etc where the water is hotter. You will be burned. You "MUST" preheat this glass before brewing by first setting the appropriate temperature (for the tea used) in the glass for a while. If you don't, the water will get hot and your tea won't brew properly as cold pottery is like heat sync. The lid is necessary during brewing, but virtually useless afterward. Don't try to keep the lid closed while drinking or you'll spill everything; This is for brewing only, not to keep your tea hot. - For some small-leaf teas (Japanese Sencha, etc.), the strainer lets the leaf enter the tea; but it's not bad enough to really count as a problem and it's not a non-5 star account. Final comment: If you use forte tea, I recommend researching online about brewing real loose tea. Flowers and fluff in your tea are a sign of LOW quality and need to look good to be charged more. Finally, you should never brew tea (as recommended by Tea Forte) with just "boiling" or "almost boiling" water; You should always use water at the right temperature for each type of tea. A quick Google search will give you this information in minutes.
