My 2015 GMC Sierra HD Denali grille has a known fatal flaw. Just below the main grid is a rectangular hole wide open to anything that wants to fly in, right into your AC capacitor. I've had rocks blow a hole in the condenser on other cars with similar wide grille holes. This grid is a nice solution to this weakness. It feels sturdy and fits well in the hole. I went for the black version which looks very standard but still protects the hole. The clamps are a bit tricky to install, it takes some dexterity to align and hold them in place until they are secure. I recommend needle nose pliers to hold things in place while you tighten the fasteners. Shortly after the grate was installed, a medium-sized bird crashed straight into the hole at highway speed. The grid stopped him and was unharmed. I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for the putco grid the capacitor would at least have a lot of curved fins.
