It's finally starting to cool where I live so I'll be back to this review when it gets hot again as this seems to be the death of all suction cup phone mounts but oh no Well. Sticks very strongly to the part of the dashboard that is made of hard plastic. I'm using an iPhone 7+ in a Thule Atmos X4 case and it's very snug and secure and the retaining tabs aren't next to the buttons. There's still a little play in the hands to get the phone out, I just clasp my hands and gently grasp the phone from side to side. In terms of looks, it looks like a claw from one of those prize catcher games, but it doesn't matter if your phone is in it, it works great. The bracket and lever work great too, just install and you're good to go. I'm thinking of adding a Ram Mount Dara holster to my car. Bought once, cried once.
