Review on πŸ’§ AquaBliss 10-Cup Water Filter Pitcher: Long-Lasting Advanced XL Purification Filter for Clean, Filtered Water without Harmful Contaminants by Julie Spalding

It doesn't seem to make a difference depending on where you live

The product looks good, holds a lot of liquid and is fairly easy to assemble and use. That being said, filtering the water from my sink doesn't seem to do the trick. I live in the Bay Area of California, so our water is pretty damn good compared to other places in, say, Michigan. But I bought this product to have cleaner water, yes we are a bit spoiled here. To my disappointment, the water doesn't seem to be getting any cleaner. How do I know? I bought one of these Revain water test kits as an experiment (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073713G5F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). 294-300 ppm for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) were measured in the rinsing water. TDS refers to any mineral, salt, metal, cation or anion dissolved in water. The water from the filter measured TDS 300-301 ppm. Thus, the water from the filter does not appear to be filtered, quite the opposite. A quick Google search for the ideal TDS for drinking water shows it to be 300ppm or less. I'm not a scientist but I think I could save some money and not buy this filter and just drink it out of the sink.

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
