I use them quite often to attach kayaks to my roof rack. They work fine. Seems to hold and tighten well. I wish they were a bit thicker so they don't scroll through the latch so easily. But it's not hard to undo and start over when that happens. If you take your time, they do a great job. So far no damage or defects. Definitely worth the price.
