Review on πŸ”§ Dorman Fuel Injector Control Module 904-229 - Compatible with Various Models by Ricardo Thotti

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Truck runs great - Note: I have fluctuations from 47 to 48 volts, 46 volts to 48 volts after changing the battery

Replaced my original due to ScanGauge2 reflecting 48.5V to 46.5V fluctuations in the FICM main power supply during normal operation. I was hoping that this board would provide a stable 48V supply, 48.5V to at least 46V during normal operation (according to the ScanGauge2). My truck ran fine before (despite voltage fluctuations which I now consider normal) and this amp made no noticeable difference when starting, idling, accelerating etc - but it works and will solve the FMP under voltage problem for the price much less than others places. The board fits perfectly; comes with new thermal pads and the components almost correspond to my original (see customer photos). I would buy it again but only if both boards start reading below 46V. In summary, this board should fix the low voltage issue when the FICM reads FMP below 46V. Please note that new radiator seals are included. UPDATE Nov 2015: I have been monitoring my ScanGuage and noticed that the main FICM voltage is fluctuating between 47V and 48V. Haven't seen it drop below 47v since I changed the batteries on both trucks to 12v will be upgrading this rating from 4 stars to 5 sar.Kyle.
