After realizing that our wall chairs were damaging the hardwood floor, I needed to find flooring. Obviously a plush rug won't work because the chairs don't roll well. Tried an outdoor polypropylene mat that worked like a chair, but the plastic started to crack and wear out. It also rose and posed a hazard to travel. The next candidate was a flat-woven Durri rug. We had issues with this slip and it stretched and deformed due to chair movement. Then the wheels catch on the folds. It also slid, despite the carpet padding underneath. I love that this rug has a latex backing which (along with the weight) keeps it from shifting. It's a low pile and the wheels move well over the surface. The colors are deep and bold and, at least on my computer screen, lifelike. So happy to have found this!
