I would have initially written a great review, maybe 4 stars (stars based on other items would not change. It's enough for learning and we have a fairly big child but sometimes I have the feeling that the mattress can warp. And while I'm sure it's great to travel with, it's such a buildable beast that we never wanted to take it apart). I wanted something so we could have our baby in our room and let the cats in with us. It was perfect for this and I looked through a lot of options before buying it. I was concerned about the mattress but our child slept great on it. For 3 months it was a pretty decent cradle, for our money it coped with its task. But this morning we woke up to our daughter crying and spitting, it seemed like she was choking. In fact, one of the plastic wires holding the dome punctured and pushed her in her mouth! It was really scary to see and think that she could actually choke or stab her in the eye. I have really enjoyed using this carrycot, but now I am very concerned about its safety. Especially since we never took it apart after putting it together, so there's no reason it should stick out. The only reason I didn't give it a star is because we enjoyed it for 3 months.
