Review on Toilet Brush Holder Bathroom Cleaning by Michael Hughes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

misleading description; NOT silicone

I have ordered 2 of these to replace the old ones I have had for over 5 years. I buy a silicone item (it says it's silicone several times)...then I expect it to be silicone. The packaging clearly states that it is TPR. I haven't used them yet and I'm not sure I'll keep them to myself. So I can't confirm the quality at all at the moment. Material only. TPR is a decent material compared to PVC, and TPR/TPE is used in a variety of applications, but both will degrade and leach into the water over time. TPR also contains bacteria even after the disinfectant has been applied. So you need to buy another head or buy another block. I wanted a silicone toilet brush. Silicone is non-porous. It is eco-friendly and easy to clean. You don't need to buy another head as cheap polymers are plentiful. It's all plastic and TPR (bristle head screw and tiny drawer handle)...although mostly plastic and absorbs odors and bacteria. I understand this is not true. not advertised as a full hard silicone toilet brush (stick to bristles) and $9 silicone cart. I really expected the components included in the bowl to be silicone. I hope they correct this listing to adequately represent the material of the product. .It appears to be well designed despite the false advertising of the materials these toilet brushes are made of. Hope that helps.
