The key was fine, Nissan did not provide the information needed for the key to work.
The key is fine. My locksmith cut the key but couldn't program it for the car. Nissan didn't give me the codes needed for programming and wanted to charge me $200. Contact your dealer first to ensure you get the correct codes to program the key.
