For some reason the velcro on the vertical shaft was not well rated for use on the ES4 with a spare battery. Much of the surface was the same Velcro fabric, meaning it didn't have a strong attachment. The straps at the top of the handlebars basically only allowed for one height, and raising or lowering the position was poorly assisted by the Velcro. I might have had a manufacturing defect but to be honest it looked like poor design. I probably would have made it if the scooter's safety brake hadn't broke and caused me to fall.
