This stuff is very good for sealing the seams on the stovepipe and around the wood stove door. It comes out of the tube easily, with no streaks or drips. It's fairly dense and hard, extruded into a silicone line, and mostly transparent. After drying, it will be a little milky white. This pipe lasts quite a bit, or it was for my needs. I have sealed many seams in my newly installed chimney and old oven door! I've been stoking wood in my wood stove for the past few months - November, December, January - and there's no sign of a problem with the silicone sealants.
