Not 4X magnification 👁
This magnifying glass seems well made with a comfortable thick handle. I got this for my 4-yr old to investigate his world and although he had fun with it, I was disappointed with the magnification. It is advertised as 4X but I could not get it to look any more than 2X. See the picture and compare the thicknesses of the yellow and white bars (or the box) when being magnified.I do not know if this magnifies enough to help those that need to read, but it works well enough as a toy. He can pretend to see fingerprints and be a detective 🕵️♀️. However, he is not going to see much he could not have seen without it.
