Disappointed with the quality

I am disappointed with this heated cat house. I am part of TNR's Wild Cat Rescue program and build cat houses from other brands. The main brand that I like the most is shown in green. This brand is better in the following ways: It has more material on the inside/side than just cardboard. It doesn't have the weird pull cord to hook the sides at the bottom like this has. (Shown in one of the images.) The heating pad is labeled for both outdoor and indoor use. However; The cord itself is not as thick as another brand which is also twisted to prevent chewing. This house offers enough space for 1 large cat. I took a picture of my big black cat in it. It can accommodate 2 smaller cats. Not sure if I'll box it up and send it back or try it on a street cat that's too scared to come to me but will stay at my back door. It's too cold now to just let him stay outside with a straw to poke under my porch steps. This product is not as good as the others in my opinion. I would first look at how the cable is arranged when I put it outside. Sometimes a good option is to purchase an unheated cat house and purchase an outdoor heater that is suitable for the outdoor weather with a coiled cord and place it in that house. I would like to note that the house cannot withstand heavy snow and is not waterproof. I haven't seen any fabric cat houses. It must be placed somewhere where it can be covered to keep out heavy snow, as well as covered with a tarp, placed on bricks or a tree to prevent it from getting wet. I've also built wild cat houses out of rubber sacks and plugged in an outdoor heater with coiled cord. You can find instructions on how to make it online. This eliminates the need to place somewhere during heavy snowfall and rain, but it still needs to be placed off the ground to prevent water seeping in. I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision before deciding which outdoor cat house brand is best for you.
