The handle does its job well but the tip size is too big for grinding gravel on a car. . If a coin sized pebble gets into your car that's ok and leaves a pea sized chip then it can be used. I'm not sure why so many auto paint part manufacturers fail to realize that most chips are much smaller than the products they make. As others have said it's fiberglass which sheds fibrous dust so be careful with the wind and wear nitrile gloves and goggles or pay an annoying price.
