We installed this above our fireplace. The TV is centered with a pin that you also install when you slide it out or slide it out all the way. We were a bit nervous trying to tilt and level the TV properly, my wife moved the TV and I tightened the nuts on the bracket. It took a long time, but we've come closer to the ideal.
