This device is just perfect! I have a Denon AVR-6300 home theater receiver which I like a lot except for one small thing. can dissipate more than simple convection. So I was looking for a fan that would help solve this problem and saw an ad for Aircom series cooling fans. They have a wide range of budget-friendly fans with auto on/off and variable speed, and they looked good. This model, the S7, has two fans and straight exhaust pipes. It's only 1.5 inches tall leaving 3.25 inches between the top of the Aircom and the shelf above it in my setup and it works really well. So I sat down to watch a movie at my normal Bombastic levels and I'm using the fan at medium speed. It's quiet and the air exiting is only slightly warm, and when I felt the Denon top it was only slightly warm too. WOW what a difference! I'm impressed and told my friend to buy it too, which he did. If you have components that get hot, for the sake of your gear, do yourself a favor and grab them.
