Review on Plate Magnetic Stirrer Mixer Control by Michael Jennings

I know very little about heated stir plates but how difficult it can be; This is a rotating magnet and a heater (probably resistors or a coil with a thermostatic switch). This product didn't work for me after about 4 uses (two weeks) and I don't know why. and suddenly loses his place. You had to turn it off, re-center the tablet, and slowly rotate it back. come back later and it doesn't spin. 2) The temperature control drifted a bit when I first used it, but was acceptable until about week 2 when it suddenly jumped from 68 degrees Fahrenheit to 124 degrees Fahrenheit. I lost two yeast starters before realizing the heater was getting too hot. I could never reach 70-80 degrees after that. I sent it back and will look for an alternative.
