Review on Kohler 85114 VF Replacement Component by Daniel Morris

I ordered the correct part using the serial number on the tank cap but it still didn't fit my tank. I've used it for a while but it wasn't satisfactory. The part number on the cover ended up missing one or both letters of the alphabet, so that may have been my problem. So be careful, numbers and letters go better together. The only other problem was the price. This was picked up on other sites so this seller did not overcharge. However, it's clear that buying Kohler toilets is like buying a Ferrari: don't buy a car if you can't afford to service it. Apart from the attractive gold tone of the handle I couldn't figure out where the item was of such great value - 5 x standard lever. Bought a stock lever from Home Depot and after some tweaking and fiddling it seems to be working fine. The next toilet I get will be American standard!
