Review on Fox Run 3137566 Non Stick Bakeware by Pete Norris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for non-stick bakeware

I just had my third knife replaced because it broke. I was slicing a thick piece of baked goods in a 9" pan and when I used the side of the blade to move the sliced piece aside so I could insert a small spatula, the handle broke. I liked the functionality, I changed the knife twice because it doesn't ruin the thin casserole dish. I'm careful with my USA pans because I love their totally non-stick surface. I noticed that the blade of this knife has changed from my previous ones: it is now ribbed and has a thinner edge, which can make cutting with the knife easier, more efficient, although I have never used my knife to cut anything hard. I hand wash this knife only. see how much stronger it is. It's too early to speak of its durability, but the Wilson didn't mess up my American pans either, and cut through the dense cake well in the pan. The blades of both knives are the same length. The grips are different: Bakeware Buddy is just under 4 inches tall; Wilton about 5.5 inches. The blade of a Wilton knife appears to have been molded together with the handle; The Bakeware Buddy has a clear distinction between the blade and handle (although I believe they are molded in one piece).

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Broken
