Watch a YouTube video of the guys pressing bearings for a 2005 Toyota Highlander. A couple of dudes - wimps, put up an ad and put a cart on a 20-ton press. DO NOT USE THE FLASH RIFLE! First, the speed and "impact" effect are NOT CORRECT for the type of torque required to make this tool work properly. I'm an engineer so I already knew it was WRONG to use guns before I even read a review of idiots doing what the instructions DID NOT do! mechanical workshop! But don't freak out! Continue to turn this bolt BY HAND with a large torque wrench (no adjustment required). AND MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT PART AND IT IS STRAIGHT! I saw two guys give up. Then, sitting with the tool next to me, I grabbed the adapters they were supposed to use and was already aware of their problem as I had already successfully pulled out BOTH wheel bearings with no problems. THEY USED THE WRONG ADAPTER so they pressed on the retainer and NOT the bearing! Every Guber grabs a camera and the world thinks they're some sort of Joe supercar for posting the video on YouTube! Guys, do you see how bearings are pulled out with this tool? This is mechanics. This thing can put any press up to 20 tons to shame. I've broken fewer abs playing with this thing right now. Of course you CAN ruin everything. But if that happens, you've done something wrong! What, the screw is not lubricated? Use your head! You cannot expect a tool to survive under such a heavy load WHEN IT IS DRY. YOU were the problem, not the tool. Bring the machine shop to you! Save tons of time and get one. I had two bearings pressed out and a new one put in, about the same time it would take to assemble them and take them to the shop. This is money in your pocket when you get paid for the hours you work.
