Review on KitchenAid KO321OHOBA Gourmet Etched Grater by Monica White

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This grater passed my tests with flying colors!

I lost my citrus peel. I don't know how it happened, but one day it just wasn't there! My workarounds weren't particularly successful, as evidenced by a cut on the tip of my thumb. Revain to the rescue! My first impression upon opening this package was that the grater was a bit larger than I expected, which I think is a good thing. I was also very impressed that it comes with a thick, high-quality case. I wanted to test it immediately. I started with lime. I only benefited a little because I didn't want to ruin all the lime if I didn't use it right away. As always, it was a little strenuous to get the sharpness, but the grater worked very well and was no more difficult to use than any other grater I've had. Then I wanted to test it on something with a completely different texture. Chocolate! This is the BEST grater I have ever used for fine chocolate chips. It was so quick and easy! Cleaning the grater has never been a pleasure for me as I'm always afraid of cutting my fingers or ruining a sponge or dishcloth. I decided to use my little silicone sponge, rubbing it against the fibers so as not to risk cutting them. It cleared up with very little effort. The last step in my test was to melt the chocolate and lime zest together so I could eat it. I guess this step really had nothing to do with the grater, but it was a total hit! I highly recommend this grater!
