Review on RXL SL Handlebars Mountain Bicycle by Stephen Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

WORTH IT. Detailed personal review.

INSTALLED: on 2016 Specialized Jumper REASON: Upgraded bike and hands became very strong and numb quickly. The bike shop suggested I buy a handlebar with stand as I didn't have this problem on the last bike and had it for 5 years. This ideal height appears to be around 18mm. Difference. In my opinion, you don't need more. If you need more reach think about spacers, handlebars, stem etc. APPEARANCE: What can I say, AMAZING carbon look. WEIGHT: Original handlebar 11.5 oz. The 5.9-ounce carbon handlebar is a minimal difference, but wait until you hold both. jaws drop. Not the reason I bought it, but it's a big plus. Some people said that it tapers off a lot at the end. not my case. Gear levers, brakes, lower seats and grips fit exactly like they came from the factory with no problems. WIDTH: Original 750mm. The new 730 mm carbon is perfect for my needs. Again, I went by that size, so it was perfect for me. I felt that the original stump was very wide and I hit a few trees as I got very close. But that's just me because I'm used to it and this one seems perfect. ((I went from a 2012 full suspension Scott Spark, FYI)) I think this is a well made product. I haven't had much time to check it out, but only time will tell. At less than $40 I think it's a bargain and a great upgrade if needed. I think if I didn't need raised handlebars I would never have bought one but after replacing it I saw many improvements like ATTACH, LOOK, HANDLING,
