Review on RaceFace Chester Mountain Bike Pedal: Unbeatable Performance and Durability for Off-Roading Enthusiasts by Jay Blo

Pedals with a great balance of (low) price, durability and performance

I've been riding these pedals for a year now and for the price, especially when they're on sale, you can't beat the balance of durability and performance. I wear size 11 shoes and the width is just right for my build - not too narrow and not too wide. I've only had a few pedal strokes with these pedals (I often ride very rocky and technical trails in my area) and apart from a few small scratches they still look like new. If you're wearing sticky-soled shoes (such as the Five Ten Contact MTB shoes), these pedals grip phenomenally thanks to the rounded shape of the pins. The pedals are also very serviceable, and while it's not the lightest pedaling option, it's hard to beat what you get without paying a lot more money with only minor improvements in materials and features. As many others have said, if you're looking for a solid, high-performance pedal set that won't break the bank, look no further.
