I had one like this a long time ago until it wore out and that was 7-8 years ago. It's a good compact player and Insignia is an electronics charter carrier for Best Buy and also available here at Revain. My advice to you consumers is that compact discs or compact discs quickly become obsolete. So if you see a brand new CD player at Revain or wherever you go, buy a few because the day will come when CDs will no longer be produced along with disc players and players will die out. On the contrary, in 2012-2014 vinyl and records have made a significant return to production and are being released from scratch again. Just stop by the Barnes and Noble store. For this player the quality is very good (especially brand new) and it plays most CDs except mix CDs like Verbatim (I've had problems with it lately). Headphones could be better but they are standard so I guess you get what you pay for. Also a good tip: USE AA BATTERIES with this player. This keeps the springs and connectors in the battery compartment clean and allows you to get more out of the player as a whole.
