All main parts are cut the same but require left and right sides for installation. In one case a ledge is formed which can cut into the roof of the van. This is due to the large difference from the last mounting hole to the butt. I use it on the ground so I don't really care but I know I can't put it on an RV. My panel requires the entire length. If I had a smaller panel I could just crop it. Photos of assembly details leave a lot to be desired. The quality of the aluminum shaft is very good. If only there were left and right pairs.
