I'm an artist and one of the things that disappointed me was the transfer of photos to paper for the practice of drawing, drawing and painting. Pastel drawings, etc. The screen makes it so you can't click on it on a phone or tablet. I'm just trying to get the basic outline and detail, but it's frustrating. No longer! HOW IT HAPPENS This comes in a small box with a clear record sleeve - keep it for protection. Then all the parts are disassembled and placed in a molded plastic tray. Again, good for storage - don't throw away. There is a protective film on the transparent plate, so be sure to remove it from both sides. ASSEMBLY Assembly is very simple. It has good instructions that are clear enough that I had no trouble assembling it. The assembly took about 4 minutes. I took my time. This includes removing the coating from the panel. EFFICIENCY This works great for exactly what I want. I have an 8 inch tablet that I can use with that where my photos are stored. My 10 inch tablet is a bit more complex, but with the right usage I can get it to work out of a case. My 8" does not need to be taken out of the case. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW There are a few key things about this unit that will make it work or not. one. ATTACH THE BASE TO A DESK OR SURFACE Use a piece of tape to make sure the stand stays in place and won't slip easily 2.LOAD THE PAPER SO IT DOESN'T MOVE If you want to make sure the paper stays in place, don't get discouraged and tape the paper in place it really speeds up my work and makes my drawings easier to do without having to start over or fiddling with them REMEMBER TURNING OFF AUTO-SPIN If you are not happy with your auto-spin, don't forget to turn it off. If you try to shoot a portrait in a stretched direction, the shape of the image to be copied will be distorted. This is only intended for use with a phone or tablet on the side, not the ends. It's recommended that you save the note on your tablet or phone or somewhere else, believe it or not, turning auto-rotate back on when you're done, it's easy to forget. RESULT This solved the problem for me when trying to copy beautiful photos of flowers, or a reference base when trying to make a small painting, drawing or sketch. I can finally do more drawings with my tablet and it made me very happy. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. It's an amazing tool for drawing and artistic work, but I've also used it to create templates for decorating food or when the cake is flat enough (e.g. one tier, not two) and not too big diameter, you can put it right next to the stand and let it work.
