Review on LS2 Helmets Assault Motorcycle SunShield by Ken Perry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Updated Aug 2021. Fits well and is comfortable to wear.

Update: After a few more rides and a bit of testing, I found that the wind noise is coming from a few small gaps between my chin and the chin guard. The helmet is not to blame, I have a small chin. I'm looking for an extended chin bar or other solution for my special occasion. My personal issue aside, this is a good helmet and I'm glad I made the purchase. ----------- -- ------------------------------------- ----------- -- ----------------------------------- Firstly, I have to say that I only rode with this helmet. . about 200 miles. Fit: I think it fits well and is comfortable to wear. I wear glasses and both glasses suit me. The helmet holds the goggles in place well without pressing too hard. I'm sure the helmet padding will break through more and most likely become even more comfortable. Noise: I think there's a lot of noise coming through this helmet; in both a bad and a good way. It's fine with the visor open, but close the visor and you get a wind noise chamber. I've always had both vents on the helmet open and that can make a difference, so I'll have to test it with the vents closed. The good thing is that I can hear everything around me. I hear a standard exhaust on my fairly quiet Honda. On some cars I hear sirens, horns and even loud tire noises. Quality earplugs are designed to block out sound, but not interfere. Works pretty well but the wind noise is still more than I would have liked. Nonetheless. I love the helmet and don't plan on buying a new one until I need it.
