My son is 54 inches tall and weighs 60 pounds - lean and lanky. He usually wears a size 8 (sometimes 10 for longer sleeves.) Size 7-8 was roomy - the sleeves are long enough.I was worried the lining would be too warm but when my son put it on he said it was it was so soft and he liked it. Overall the jacket has a nice quality feel to it; The material is not as plastic as other rain jackets - let's see how it behaves in the rain.
