Before that was Phenom 2 955 BE (4 GHz overclocking). The difference in performance is an abyss, all games run at the highest settings (Radeon 570 8 GB, 32 GB DDR4). Temperature from 36 to 55 degrees. For a long time I rushed about choosing between Ryzen 5 2600, Ryzen 7 2700, Ryzen 5 3600 - I looked at a lot of tests (for example, on youtube) - the difference between 3600 is about 1-2%, but Ryzen 5 3500 is faster than Ryzen 5 2600 in games by 25-30% , in video encoding and photo-video editing 20-40%, the processor is really cold, the cooler is set to the lowest speed and silence :) 7 nm do their job :) Why did you buy this particular one? Yes, because the cache of the 3rd level of 32 MB does not play a special role in applications yet - they simply cannot use it. In auto overclocking, it keeps stable 4.1 GHz. Someone will say that there is no SMT (analogous to HT) - but why is it needed? I consider this a semi-software stray, all the same, there are 6 physical cores. In general, I'm satisfied. I advise everyone who, like me, are switching from old Phenoms to a new platform.
