Review on Kraus KCU 241 Undermount Rectangular Bathroom by Charles Thomas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great price - nice bowl. Check the popup build size.

Overall: Ordered several of these sinks for a bathroom renovation. These sinks look great, are pure white and have a beautiful finish. Excellent value for money and quality. Size: For my 19" vanity, these sinks were the perfect size considering the thickness of the granite top, the footprint of the faucet, and the spacing between everything. Most of the other sinks I looked at were a bit too big. or too small (I wanted the largest that fits). The dimensions of the cutout according to the template are 11.6 x 17.9 inches. This gives the granite a decent amount of overhang. looks perfect. I would suggest that you make sure your template is scalable and take it to your sink and see if you like the recommended bar. For myself, I prefer something less than what the manufacturer suggests. The reason it's losing a star is because the pop up drains that came with the triangular faucets I bought will NOT fit this sink in my case. While the drain flanges fit over the sink drain, the bottom surface of the flange on this 1.75" sink may not be flush with any part of the drain. This will prevent the putty or sealant from coming into contact with the sink. because the flange wobbles only in the hole with small gaps. Delta told me they don't offer a larger drain flange and that the 2 1/8" drawer flange assembly is standard. Went to a plumbing shop who ended up confirming the same thing Delta told me. I suggest you test the pop-up assembly with the "standard" 1.75" drain on this sink before installing it. In my case, the "standard" popup didn't fit the "standard" sink in this sink. It was close, but it wasn't. fits properly without being creative (e.g. cutting out a custom gasket or bending a triangular flange in place to fill gaps). Anyway, the Krauss pu11 popup fits perfectly. The drain flange on the Krauss knot is about 1/8' to 1/4" larger in diameter than the delta, making for a perfect fit (and looking very nice). The downside is that I can't use the stem lift feature on my faucets. Just give it a try before installing - maybe I just had bad luck with my particular setup. Although everything worked out in the end!
