The Gates cap has a blue center instead of green. The cap looks like it is half the weight of an original BMW cap. When you twist the original cap, you will hear a click as it is tightened. The Gates cap simply stops and does not allow further tightening. I am concerned about the quality of the Gates cap. Since the installation, my kilometer sensor has been behaving strangely and is showing a significantly lower fuel consumption. I'm curious to hear other people's experiences with mileage and compression. Please comment and let me know your thoughts. Many Thanks.
