The best protection against sand in the aquarium. Pumps and filters
I use this filter over a pump in a shallow well. It keeps the pump impeller clean and the pump running when dirt and sand are present in the source water treated by the pump operation. Does what it's supposed to do and I'm glad I don't have to disassemble the pump to clean it. The only complaint is with the cleaning of the filter itself. Ha, like in dirty water you won't need it.
