This product was useful for snorkeling on the south coast of California. For me, even in summer, the water here is too cold to stay more than a few minutes without doing grueling exercises that force the body to generate enough heat. You have to understand that a thin sleeveless vest will never help you stay in freezing water for a long time, but for my needs this product is the perfect affordable solution. My only warning is that although the size chart told me to buy a medium size, according to another reviewer I bought the small size and it fits perfectly. Please note that this product is advertised as unisex and I am a slim, busty man so I cannot speak for women's sizing. Either way, the small size fits snugly and gives me that extra bit of warmth I need. Pros: Low cost. Easy to put on and take off. Appears to be of good quality. a few degrees of extra heat. Cons: Possibly inaccurate size chart.
