I teach first grade. Bought 10 of these players for hearing centers. Out of 10, 9 still work. Children aged 6-7 years deal with it every day. I used to use CD players. CDs will get scratched and we will use TONS of batteries a year. These turntables are easy to manipulate with small hands. The display screen helps you navigate the player. The only downside is that some of my students have trouble working with the power button. You have to hold it down for 5 seconds for it to turn off. Also, a player that currently doesn't work works for music but not for spoken words (books on CD). Illusion. Some advantages: - Battery life - Easy to navigate - Easy downloading of songs/books - Nice screen - Lightweight but durable - Detailed user guide with troubleshooting (on player) - Compatible with Mac and PC - Load multiple books on one player - Size, not too big, not too small
